Why we started Lil'Codr

The problem

Students today are growing up in a world powered by code, but most don’t get the chance to go beyond apps on their screens into actually creating with technology. In many schools and afterschool centres, teachers are expected to “teach coding” without the time, training, or ready-to-use resources to do it confidently. Coding often becomes a one-off workshop, a fancy buzzword in the brochure, or a stressful add-on to an already packed timetable. The result is a real gap: some students get rich, hands-on exposure, while many others are left with little more than drag-and-drop tutorials and YouTube videos. We built lilcodr to close that gap in a way that feels playful for students and practical for educators.

The idea

LilCodr is a structured, ready-to-run coding programme designed specifically for preschool and primary-level learners. Our idea is simple: make coding feel like play for kids, and make it feel plug-and-play for schools and centres. We combine storytelling and hands-on tinkering so students learn real computational thinking while they build games, interactive gadgets, and little “inventions” they’re proud to show off. Every programme is delivered by our own trained instructors, with step-by-step lesson flows and kid-friendly materials, so your team doesn’t need any prior coding expertise or additional preparation.

For partners, this means you can offer a future-ready coding curriculum that fits into existing timetables or afterschool slots. It’s affordable, scalable, and keeps your students laughing, experimenting, and learning by doing.
